Who we are

Our tax team is managed by Delloitte & Touche trained Chartered Accountants who have been doing US tax returns for over a decade. These top notch experts oversea a crew that spends their off season training on US Tax law.

In 2002 I went to Bangalore to train this group on how to use QuickBooks. We liked the crew, were impressed with their skill sets and admired their work ethic so much we started sending our own accounting and bookkeeping work to Cosmic.

That worked so well that in 2003 we told other accountants about the office and helped over 100 CPA firms set up back office workers at the India office.

Software we support:

ProSystem FX, UltraTax, Proseries, Lacerate, Tax wise, Go-system-RS etc.

STEP 1: Individual tax organizers and source documents are sorted, scanned and sent electronically by the CPA firm with the previous year's return (using a data file from the tax software which may be proSystem fx, UltraTax, Proseries or Lacerate, Tax-wise etc ) to cosmic's secure US-based hosting site.

STEP 2: Cosmic’s Tax compliance Manager Will overseas Tax compliance Analyst’s (TCA) access the files using a secure server and process them remotely. No client documents ever leave the U.S.

STEP 3: Cosmic’s TCA prepares review notes and send them to the CPA firm for clarification. Additionally, e-mails indicating that review notes for a specific taxpayer have been posted to the site and are awaiting review are automatically generated to appropriate contacts at the CPA firm.

STEP 4: once clarifications have been answered and open items cleared, the overseas TCA will completes the return, submits it to a supervisor for review and posts it to the cosmic’s workflow management website for the CPA's final review and processing. We use YOUR software by ASP or Remote Access or your Tax software file for processing current year return. We have established a team of 20 trained tax preparers led by 2 Ernst & Young, chartered accountants. This team works on a ‘per return’ basis. Use the graph below as a fee guideline. Since we have only trained 20 tax preparers we often reach our maximum capacity. If you are considering outsourcing tax returns do not wait till the last minute to contact us or we may not be able to accommodate you.

You will call our office in Wyoming where we will explain our turn around time, how we get paid and what you can expect from our tax team. Our minimum agreement is for 100 returns per year.
